Two day studio shoot including a number of images now complete.
Five years ago I worked on a project photographing people from different cultures living in New Zealand.
Recently I have managed to meet up with some of these people again, so have decided to photograph them again in 2010.
In 2005 I wanted the portraits to look like paintings and distinctively removed from reality, in 2010 I wanted the opposite.
Shooting down South last week in some stunning locations, these are some behind the scenes.
This has nothing to do with anything I am working on, but worth checking out.
It’s made by one of my favorite music video directors, Chris Cunningham.
He cast Samantha Morton for the shoot, brilliance.
Back into production this week for the first shoot of the year with the excellent Ryan Henderson from Degree design.
The new Wellington Zoo hospital opened just before Christmas, this really is an amazing building which has been years in the making.
You can see into the main operating room from outside the building and also by viewing screens in a seated area.
The campaign, through Saatchi & Saatchi, was based on an American hospital drama, with the inclusion of a different animal in each of the shots.
CGI was used to create the base shape of the animals, then many days were spent at the zoo photographing them to get the correct angles. Finally Andy Salisbury did a brilliant job re touching it all together.
Just waiting on high res shots for the main site.
